Pick up from Nanyukii at 7:30 A.m in a relaxing drive a bit over four and half hours to arrive at Chogoria town around mid morning. After clearance with the gate hop in the car, drive through the Chogoria gate station to The Bandas.

After an early breakfast after sorting out luggage with the porter and guide we trek for 3 - 4 hrs, 9 km, 350m ascent up the mountain at a comfortable pace to the caves where we camp for the Night.
You will get a chance to visit Lake Ellis in the afternoon depending how you feel
Meals and Overnight at Campsite
Three - 5 hour trek
Elevation 3300 m.
An early start again. Trek on the track till we rejoin the Chogoria route for around 2.5 to 3 hours,gaining an altitude of about 4,200m. Glorious sightings of the Gorges Valley and on your shoulders Northern Moorlands overlooking the Ithanguni.Take lunch at a small stream crossing, before trekking further up the Mintos Hut area at 4200m and our night's rest. Spending the afternoon at the camp or grabbing a quick 20 min stride to the "Temple" . This is a 150 meters vertical cliff that gets its name from the position visitors often adopt when peering over the edge - they look as if they are praying.An early night is recommended as you are attempting the summit next day.

Four to Five hours trek
Elevation 4200 m
A very early start in an attempt to catch the sunrise at the summit. Day starts with a light breakfast at 2;00 a.m and the hike begins for about three hours up to Point Lenana (4985m), the hiker's summit, arriving there in time to watch the African sunrise. Afterwards, trek down to the camp for breakfast and rest, as you enjoy fascinating scenery which includes the moorlands before reaching the camp.
Dinner and overnight at Shipton Camp.

Around 6 hour trek
Elevation 4,200m
After breakfast, follow the track downhill contouring through the Moorland and crossing Liki North passing through to Mackinders Valley from where there are panoramic views up the valley towards the main peaks (Nelion, Batian and Lenana).
